Britain seems to be locked this year in a wonderful passion for Snowdrops; I can never remember seeing so many growing in hedgerows and woodlands. We seem to all enjoy the stunning sheets of pure white blooms currently covering the ground. There are no fewer than 20 wild varieties spread across Europe and many of them were back by soldiers returning from the Crimean War in Russia in the 19th Century.
Some species have been in Britain since the Middle Ages and seem to have been associated with faith and religion; they seem to be clustered around most churchyards, ruined abbeys and priories. The coming of the snowdrop is an association to Candlemas 2nd Feb, also my Birthday, Candlemas is the Purification of the Virgin Mary, 40 days after Christmas and the Birth of Christ. It is easy to imagine how snowdrops became the perfect flower for the feast a symbol of purity and cleanliness.

Argus was a monster in Greek mythology. He was famous in legend for having more than 100 eyes. With his multiple sets of eyes, he could see everything. With his keen vision, Argus was regarded as an almost perfect mythological guard creature. The important legend in which Argus appears features some of our most famous characters from myth, including Hermes, Zeus, Hera, and Io.

According to the story, Hera, the Queen of the Olympian gods and goddesses, commanded Argus to watch over Io. Io was a woman with whom Zeus - the ruler of the Olympians - had conducted a passionate love affair, His passions for Io were so intense, and so, in order to protect his mistress from the wrath of his wife, Zeus had transformed Io into a heifer. So Hera, who was quite clever, had Argus guard her rival, the heifer Io. Zeus was so angry so he sent the god Hermes to destroy the monster. By using great wit, deceit and cunning Hermes managed to defeat Argus.

Hera, was upset at losing her perfect guard so in order to pay tribute to Argus she placed his multiple eyes into the tail of the peacock, her favorite bird. In this way, Argus was immortalized, his eyes adorning the feathers of the peacock.

HERE COMES SUMMER

Spring has arrived! The equinox has passed, we are approaching the light half of the year, the daffodils have put in an appearance at last, lambing has begun and the birds are busy nesting. The days are longer and watching nature shake off the winter cloak is a pleasure to behold.
For me personally, at this time of year, the call of the outdoors is strong. I love my home, but to be able to stretch, breathe in fresh air and pass a pleasant half hour drinking a cup of coffee outside, observing the wildlife at work and Mother Earth starting to put on her colourful summer togs is a pleasure I never tire of.
The frog’s sporning on the pond have become an endless fascination to my little Westie dog Shona, who lives in hope of chasing a frog or two around the garden. My ambitions extend a little further than the frogs as I long for the sun to become warmer and to be able to sit outside and break out the Bar-B-Q, open a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, sit in my sun lounger and listen to the trickle of my small waterfall, such simple pleasures!

History Of Cats.

For centuries in Europe the cat was seen as evil and feared, particularly black ones who were always associated with witches and believed to be in league with the devil.
Persecution was so fife that by 1400AD the cat was almost extinct in many parts of Europe.
The Church of the times was very much to blame for this and was responsible for the ‘Cats’ bad press. It became obsessed with its pagan connections.

However, in ancient Egypt, Rome and pagan Scandinavia the cat was always associated with fertility, pleasure and good fortune, and was never connected with anything to do with the Devil.
Ancient Egyptians were the first to domesticate this animal, first as rat catchers and then as sacred animals. Much worship was focused on a cat-like goddess of fertility named “Bastet” or Bast, cats were mummified and buried in temples as a mark of respect. Even after the fall of the Egyptian Empire cats were revered and treated as good luck omens.

In Europe the situation was they enjoyed a great degree of worship and superstition but in the middle ages this came to an abrupt end. The by then, the very powerful Christian Church was in fear of Pagan cult worship, and they embarked upon a terrible canpaign against so-called witches who, were believed to be able to transform into cats at times of trouble or persecution.

Women in particular were targeted and many were tortured until they at last gave in to false confessions, they were cruely executed. Many were solitary elderly woman who maybe kept a cat as a companion, they would be drowned or burnt at the stake,along with their pet cat.Cats would suffer the same fates, and not just black ones but all colours.
Throughout the 16th and 17th centuries the cat population diminished. It was not until the 18th century that the cat was restored to favour, and the witch hunts died out.

The cat resumed its place as an household pet and rat catcher. In Britain today black cats are considered to be lucky, whereas in North America the reverse is true.

Many cats even today are found in buildings mummified under the foundations of old buildings, it was thought to bring luck and good fortune for both the structure and its occupants.

Sailors are renowned for their superstitious natures and they still today have cats on board their vessels both as rat catchers and to bring good luck to the ship. Even so cats generally dislike water but seem to take up residence on ships quite happily (especialy fishing vessels). In fact cats have migrated all around the world thanks to their affinity to ships.

Sailors always believed the cat had the power to protect them from dangerous weather and disasters at sea. Throw a cat overboard and this would mean inpending doom and at least nine years bad luck for all the crew. Cats are excellent weather forecasters and it was believed that a cat could start a storm with its tail if it was angered, hence many cats fared very well.

Cats today are very much at the centre of many peoples lives, and it would seem they now enjoy a pampered existance. Purrrrrrrrr!

PHANTOM HITCHIKER TRAVELLERS

As our roads become more crowded and congested it is so important for us all to be alert and to concentrate on everything we encounter on our journeys.
It is therefore no surprise to hear of many stories and reports of phantom hitchhikers. One of the best known of these ghost stories happened at Bluebell Hill, Nr Maidstone in Kent. Numerous drivers have reported seeing young girls running in front of their vehicles, and then just to vanish into thin air.
In one incident a girl was hit by a vehicle, the driver got out of his car and placed a blanket over the body, he then awaited the arrival of the police. When the police did arrive they could find no body, only a sodden wet blanket laid in the road.
Another incident was recorded at Oxney Bottom Nr. Deal in Kent, a bus driver stopped his bus when he observed a woman in the road waving a torch he stopped his bus and opened the door, and no one was there.
There are actually many reports like this that just defy any explanation.
On the A12 near Lowestoft in Suffolk, drivers regularly report running over an old tramp and this has been happening for many years now, is an illusion or can so many people be so mistaken?
I’m sure many of these reports may be optical illusions, but many reports say the drivers have very often reported feeling the impact of hitting a figure only to find no body or victim.
For some reason the County of Kent seems to be particularly haunted by these ghostly travellers, but why so many seem compelled to walk in front of cars is a mystery that may never be solved.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD ??
2008/2009 is the time for many endings and new beginnings for all of us.
With prices rising for everyone, we will all be taking stock of the things we need to keep and the things we can do without.
For those who have investments in stocks and shares, there will be little to look forward to in the way of dividends but not the time to sell either, hang on in there especially if you have invested in tech stocks, six to eight months will see an upturn in new technologies. Retail services will also see an upsurge at Christmas and in about eight months time, despite the Bank of England’s flat forecasts, things in the money markets will be more bullish next summer. The situation may not be so bright in the USA, but Barack Obama will be starting as president of the USA to get to grips with many of the problems he will inherit from the Republicans. It will take a long time to change systems in the USA but the new president will bring new confidence around the world in the strength of the USA. A strong USA is good for the entire world, and they will start to lead the world again in a big effort over the next two years to combat climate change.
The world will see record amounts of world disasters, storms, tornadoes and earth quakes but food starvation around the world will be as bad as ever. We must all pray for this to change.
Oil prices will level out for a while creating more stability.
Despite many problems around the world it’s not all doom and gloom we will see things to be joyous about and we will see the announcement of at least three royal weddings.
Zara Phillips, despite her disappointment at missing out at the Olympics, will along with the Duke of York become a great ambassador for Great Britain and Prince Harry will also take a leading role in charity and more state duties. Our royals will become more popular than ever.
Gordon Brown, although a very serious man, will prove to be a man of substance, the press and media need to let up on him, as he will yet prove to be the person who can steady the ship during stormy times. He is a man who cares and will do his best to help those who are poor and needy.
Tony Blair is gone but not forgotten and is yet to play a big role on the world stage and will be there to broker a better understanding in the Middle East and the situation in Palestine will start to calm down. Peace will break out!

The war in Afghanistan however will drag on and the politics in Pakistan will mean peace there is very fragile, as a nuclear power this will cause jitters around the world.
On the medical front the next twelve months will see several big breakthroughs with some major diseases and we could see something spectacular in the treatment of malaria. Manchester University seems to have a great swathe of light above it and some great things will emerge from it.
From a different angle, healthcare for all will become a central talking point in government circles and it is likely that a wider gap will be created between the privileged and the under privileged in our society.
There is much to suggest that agricultural practices will begin to show larger food crops and will lead to a very optimistic trend and food production will increase at a good rate. Crops will do well in 2009.
Luckily our world leaders are starting to realise that terrorism is born out of poverty and over the course of the next few years there will be a great effort made to lift people out of the poorest environments and despite talk of recession, our world is a good place to be. Life is sweet, we live in a beautiful place.

Rest for the body, peace for the mind.

See the sunrise, across the sea,
Reflective jewels, glitter like gold,
Priceless wealth that comes for free,
Riches so rare, for us all to behold.

Then see the autumn mists, come creeping,
Blood red leaves, that fall like rain,
As if the trees are pained, and weeping,

HAPPY HAWAIIAN B DAY

August 29th saw the world congratulating Michael Jackson on his 50th birthday. Such a talent, his musical gift needs to be reborn and Michael will emerge again and reinvent himself over the next two years.

Another great talent also shared his 50th birthday with Michael on this same date, that wonderful comedian and actor Lenny Henry. I have always been a great fan of Lenny, and we all remember the comedy characters he invented and we all laughed at. However, people tend to forget what a good actor he is and the next year will see him taking on a new role that will showcase his great abilities in this area.

This is a man that we see fronting Comic Relief, but behind the scenes and away from the media Lenny is a genuine, compassionate human being, who believes in doing good for others quietly and without the media recognition.

His heart is as big as he is, however, it is time he was rewarded and it won’t be too long before the Queen herself touches him, who knows maybe we will see “Sir Lenny Henry”?

He will wear this mantle well!

LIFE IN THE DAY OF THE RECEPTIONIST

Another Day begins and as I log on to work I wonder who the first caller will be?

Will it be a regular client or somebody new who wants to know every detail possible before making their first booking with the company?

Some customers are regular and will phone once a week or maybe once a month and they know me by name as I do them. We will have a little chat while I take their details and it is a nice feeling knowing that these callers trust me and enjoy phoning the company to talk to one of our readers.

Most clients have their regular readers and like to book them every time, sometimes booking readings in advance to ensure their availability. Other clients like to speak to a different psychic from time to time and enjoy having a reading with a variety of readers.

Clients phone us for various reasons. Some want to know what is going to happen next in an ongoing love drama, others want to receive some business advice. Some clients like to have a general reading covering all aspects of their lives while others want to know what the future holds for them. Whatever their reasons for phoning it is very rewarding to know that they are dealt with professionally and receive the best possible reading ensuring they feel happy and positive about what they have been told.

As well as keeping the clients happy a huge part of the day is spent communicating with the psychics themselves. A small team of top psychics is harder to control that you might imagine. They all work various times of the day and night and are all very flexible and helpful. Even though our psychics are from different areas of the country and do not know one another we all feel like a small family who get on very well and support each other when needed.

Our psychics all have very different home lives and personalities and I believe that some of their own life experiences have made them who they are today. Everyone who phones is very friendly and it is nice to speak to people from all corners of the earth and learn a little about them and their lives.

What Is The Tarot?

The origins of the Tarot deck are shrouded in mystery. The time, place and circumstances of its very creation are a matter of speculation and intrigue. Some people believe the tarot dates back to early Egyptian and Sumerian civilizations, where these ancients used it to symbolise the secret teachings of their own mysterious religions.
The popular belief is that Tarot cards were brought to Europe by fortunetelling gypsies coming either from Egypt or India. However they came the cards were widespread in Italy and Germany by the late 14th century.
The tarot consists of 78 cards, 56 Minor Arcana cards and 22 Major Arcana cards.
The Minor Arcana is very much like an ordinary deck of playing cards. There are four suits, each numbered from Ace to King. The Jack in traditional cards is represented in the Tarot by the page. In addition the Tarot deck includes four knights which were dropped from the modern deck of playing cards.
The four suits in the Tarot deck are Swords, Cups, Rods and Pentacles. In a deck of playing cards, Swords relates to Spades, Cups to Hearts, Rods to Clubs and Pentacles to Diamonds. Swords relates to intellectual matters, discord, struggle and strife. Cps corresponds to emotions, affairs of the heart. Rods (some decks call wands) relate to enterprise, creativity and energy. Pentacles (some decks call discs) relates to money and business affairs.
The Major Arcana begins with the fool and ends with the world. Of the 22 Major Arcana cards, only the fool in the form of the Joker has survived in the present day playing cards. These cards symbolise the growth end evolution of consciousness and spiritual awareness. Their meanings are individual, deep and refer to all psychological and spiritual levels. To read them properly you must understand the deep meanings that relate to everyday events in life.
When reading Tarot cards the meanings of the upright cards are one thing and the reversed cards represent a different meaning. The reversed meaning is not always the opposite of the upright meaning. Sometimes the reversal meaning is “too much of a good thing” for example, The Empress means things in abundance, but when reversed it means laziness and extravagance.
Usually, when the upright meaning involves a difficult situation or problem the reversed card is better and shows the problem has been overcome. For example take the Fire of Pentacles, means unemployment and financial insecurity, reversed it means returning to work and financial security coming back.
Learning the Tarot is like learning a foreign language. The individual cards are the words provided by the personal and collective unconscious. A Tarot reader needs to learn how to translate these unconscious words so the meanings can be understood and the Tarots magical accuracy can be conveyed.
In the language of the tarot our words are the upright and reversed meaning that we give to each card. We must give clear, non-ambiguous meanings to each and every card.
Then when a card appears in a spread, we can understand the message it is trying to communicate. We don’t want to employ a dead language like Latin, with words that relate only to a bygone age but no words that relate to computers and out modern lives.
Choose a Tarot deck that is fairly traditional avoid choosing a deck without the original symbols, as a beginner this will only cause confusion. Be sure to choose a deck with all the Major and Minor Arcana’s, pictures help you to remember and associate the meanings of the cards.

Growing Up As A Clairvoyant

I am always being asked, “What is it like being a psychic?” and I always feel it’s a wonderful gift to have been given, however there are times when it can be seem like it’s a curse or a nuisance and seeing in order to help others can often get in the way of you being able to conduct your own life, people who fall in love with you sometimes see it as a way of me manipulating things around me, which is not the case, but can appear to others in that way.

The word Clairvoyant means to see clearly, and is related to psychic sight. My first recollections of this seem to come at a very early age, as a baby I have total recall of being in the arms of my parents I can still recall the scents of both my Mother and Father, but I can also recall seeing great clouds of colours and lights, and things that my eyes could focus on seem to have great swathes of light around them.

Seeing events to come in my head as a small child was very confusing, both to myself and others around me, having spirit talking in my head to me and me replying, would have been seen as just a little girl with some kind of imaginary friend. My parents were always on the edge of their seats not quite knowing what I was liable to say to visitors, but what came out of my mouth was total honesty, and was never watered down in any way, I had at that time no concept of how to be diplomatic or sensitive, so would often alienate my little friends, leaving me as a child to play alone.

As one grows up, one learns how to interpret the pictures and the sounds that psychics receive, it takes a lot of practise to understand and develop good interpretation skills. If you see symbols you know that what you see is totally correct, but sometimes you are given pictures of events that have already happened (post recognition) sometimes you may see something as it happens some place else ( remote viewing) and then sometimes you see what is going to happen ( pre recognition)
Since the pictures seen can come to you from many different areas it can cause great confusion at times. A lot of visions come completely out of context, and it may be that it takes sometime before you can make any sense of what you have been allowed to see, or to see why you have been shown the images.

The visions mostly give support and clarifications to the voices that go with the events. I always seem to receive the visions from the back of my head and from a high mental plane, always accompanied by great lights and colours.
Some pictures may appear very vividly in Technicolor, or it may appear as if a brilliant light was shining on the scene. Sometimes the images may be dim and barely seen. Whatever the picture you see, especially the futuristic ones you often also see an alternative, it often means that a certain event will happen as its shown but if the person you are seeing for alters certain patterns of their lives the alternative may take effect. We can sometimes change what may happen we all have freedom of choice; the future is not always set in stone. Sometimes sprits show what would strengthen a future and what may weaken it.

Auras are colour manifestations of energy that are seen around persons, plants animals and most living things. As your clairvoyance skills become stronger and more highly developed you can interpret what the aura colours mean, you do at times get a glimpse of X-ray vision, and are able at times to see into objects, seeing spiritual beings can be like seeing rain and sometimes they can be seen for short glimpses as they are in true form. At times you can observe energy forms of light and dark karma passing between persons. At first I could only see pictures with my eyes closed, but as one gets stronger and more developed you start to observe them with the eyes open. The pictures always seem to appear as if they are about three feet away from me.

I never try to look into my own future, but spirit give you that kind of information all the time, sometimes you see things that can cause great emotional stress to you, especially when it involves the ones you love. The death of my Father was such a time, we shared a cup of tea that morning together, and everything about him was so clear, my third eye was so wide open, and I viewed him in the most beautiful purple and silver light. He kissed me goodbye, and smiled at me and I was told I would never see that smile again. As I drove away I looked back at him in the rear view mirror only to note there was no reflection. Within an hour my Father passed into the next dimension.

There are times when your chakras are fully opened that visions appear with the most radiant white light, usually when visions are accompanied with this kind of vibrant spiritual energy they are very accurate, however when the light is flat and dim the visions are from a lower level and are not always as clear and precise. My most accurate visions very often come when I am resting or asleep in the form of dreams, the dreams are so energised and so vivid, I have foreseen great events happening, accidents, world events, people close to me at the time of my dreams, feature very strong and at times whilst with my partner I can view many events going on within his life, some of it is very mundane and normal and some of it is helpful and very enlightening, I often see him meeting and being with lots of people that I have no connection with. I do try not to spy on others, but I have never found a way to turn off the connections, so I have to adopt an attitude of trying to detach myself.

As my powers of meditation develop it allows me to at times with the power of my mind to view a visualisation from many different angles and also to see inside it, meditation is a wonderful way to focus the mind and combined with the influences of energies from past lives, hopes, dreams the place in which I live and the energies of my dearest friends, all combined to enable me to make better choices not only for myself but for others that share my being and my life. Sometimes the meditations give the ability to turn around a negative situation and produce a more positive outcome.

Every time we visualise something in our minds it is like planting a seed, some seeds take longer to grow than others, some requests are immediate some take years to happen. In order not to limit what your own mind can conceive, always only think and request what is positive don’t give negative thoughts room to grow, or you could provoke bad things to happen. Keep in mind that God’s will comes before yours, Visualisation, or prayer energy is the strongest form of energy (after love) that’s available to us, so use it wisely.

Clairsentience, means clear sensing and gives you the ability to feel someone else’s aches and pains, and sometime by placing my hands onto people it allows me to pick up on others emotions and moods this can allow me to pass warmth and healing to those who suffer, but sometimes I have to be careful not to take on their ailments so its so important to get spirit to put a band of protection around myself before entering into the auras of others.

Some people who have this gift are afraid to be out in the midst of others, as they pick up so much from human contact and many become hypochondriacs, I do not have this fear and I find it improves my love and compassion for others, if I am aware of the problems others have the more I am able to empathise and comfort.

Clairaudience, is the ability to hear so clear sometimes whole poems and come from spirit in such perfect order, I find this mostly happens to myself first thing in a morning when I freshly awaken from my sleep, I try to keep pen and paper by my bed as some of my best inspirations in words come in a matter of minutes.
Hearing words psychically is very similar to a long distance telephone call you need to be relaxed and very open to what you hear. There are times when I seem to recognise the voice that I hear but am not aware of any name given to this person, except I know this is the voice of my spirit guide, my guide always maintains the connection, and the voice is at a very high frequency.

Clairaudience, means that in certain conditions and at a particular frequency I have been known to pick up what others say even from a distance, nothing to do with having bionic ears its just like the Doppler effect the sound just comes and diminishes. Some clairaudient people can tune in to music, but for myself that is very rare but I do tune into certain earthly vibrations and earthly sounds in general even the noises that plants , trees and birds everything seems to have its own energy and its own sound and vibration. We are all as human beings able to tune into seven levels of sound, touch and emotions.

I have always been very much aware that my guardian Angel and guide is always around me, the more open I am to him the stronger he is able to communicate. Angels work mainly on ones soul and spiritual development and they seem to give changes to your guides at various times of your life, which takes a lot your energy and quickly makes you feel tired and edgy. Persons upon death do not become Angels but they do become like Angels, our higher level guides are persons who have lived and experienced on the Earth plane.

Sometimes we have agreed to do certain things before we are born and Angels and higher spirit guides help to give us the experience and abilities to carry out what we are meant to do. Very often psychics go through great heartaches and many suffer violence and hurt in order to have the abilities to help others cope with many afflictions. When we have achieved a certain amount of light vibrations, we then resonate to a higher level our minds become vessels for new information and our hearts become vessels for love and compassion.
Cooperation between earth plane beings and our higher guides and Angels is incredible in terms of what we are able to accomplish. Angels and guides do not interfere with your karma and your growth. You often hear people say that messages came out of the blue and for many this is true, and many persons have Angels and guides but are just not aware of them, or are unable to hear or communicate with them their messages are usually very subtle, and you need to be very quiet and relaxed in order to hear them.

We all have a third eye in the middle of the forehead a psychic gate at the back of our heads and temples of awareness each side of the head in front of the ears. I strongly maintain that we are all born with psychic abilities, but most people have forgotten how to use two sides of the brain. Ancient man would have had to go out and hunt for food, so he would need to live on his instincts and would need to have psychic awareness in order to survive, but modern humans just go down to the supermarkets buy their food and clothes and therefore the modern human has no need to use their full senses. People like myself are still in touch with themselves and are still able to call on these energies and abilities.

Science always questions the abilities of psychics and yet I truly believe that it will be science that will one day prove, that our brain patterns and vibrations are real and true.

Evolution pushes us continually onward. If we go with it, work with it, open up to it, life despite its trauma’s and challenges can be amazingly interesting and rewarding, and for every bad deed we do, karma will always repay equally for every bit of bread that we throw upon life’s waters, every good deed done is rewarded back to us ten fold.

Truly there are more good persons in this world than bad ones….. May there always be more Love and Light.
